This role is within the Development department of TomTom, in Amsterdam. Development is responsible for the creation and production of all TomTom Personal Navigation Devices. Development consists of several groups including Software Engineering, Hardware & Platform Enigineering, Test and Product management. It also works very closely with other groups including Service and Delivery, User Experience and Automotive.

As a member of a team of highly motivated, skilled and experienced engineers you will take joint responsibility in ensuring the successful implementation of ground-breaking software on cutting edge hardware.

Your Opportunity

The overall purpose and objective of the intern's role is the investigation of latest audio technologies for PND developments; benchmark current microphone, speaker and DSP technologies and research latest technologies that will give TomTom an edge of it's competitors.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
• Benchmark current microphone, speaker and DSP technologies.
• Investigate latest microphone, speaker and DSP technologies to meet TomTom requirements.
• Provide findings to development team and make recommendations for new projects.
