Company information

There is a bank for optimists, go-getters and visionaries. For those who don’t take no for an answer. Who see what others do not. Achieve what no one else thought imaginable. Because our clients believe in themselves and their ideas. And that it can be done.
We are committed to serving people who persevere at decisive moments. Who know that YES is possibly the most powerful word on earth.

What we do
NIBC is the enterprising bank for entrepreneurs. We share a forward-thinking, can-do attitude. It’s what we call our ‘yes’ mentality. Agile and flexible, we think and act like entrepreneurs to support our corporate clients in building their businesses.

For enterprising, independent-minded retail customers, our Consumer Bank offers straightforward, transparent products. These include residential mortgages and online savings deposits via NIBC Direct in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.

Our expertise spans debt and equity mezzanine, mergers & acquisitions, capitalisation advisory, leveraged finance and structured finance.

Job information

As an Analyst you will be playing an important role in the S&I team. You work in small teams with colleagues you can learn from and together you build relationships with existing clients to find the best solutions for all stakeholders involved. It means that you know the clients (many of them are internationally based) inside out and really understand their strategy, operations, successes but also shortcomings. To be able to do that we ask you to perform research of industry trends, to prepare periodic credit reviews, to make financial analyses, to negotiate legal terms and to pro-actively contribute to our ambition to continuously improve ourselves. In the process, you work closely with many internal and external professionals from different other disciplines.

Job requirements

  • Professional with a university degree in a relevant field such as economics, business, finance or econometrics, or an MBA.
  • 0-2 years of work experience, preferably in a lending related or M&A environment. Knowledge of the maritime industry is preferred, but not necessary.
  • Being able to work pro-actively and independently in a ‘Think Yes’ environment, in which good interpersonal skills make the difference.
  • Flexible team player with the ability to deal with ad hoc requests, often with tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in English, Dutch is a plus.

What does your company?

NIBC is a relatively small bank with a very dynamic and informal culture. We nurture our entrepreneurial and inventive culture by providing modern flexible devices and working spaces. You can therefore work where and when you want, which improves your performance and work-life balance. You will have a direct impact on both the bank and its clients. Being an Analyst in our bank will give you substantial responsibilities, direct exposure to senior management and enable you to rapidly understand how the whole bank works and where you can best leverage your talents. Top talents are invited to participate in tailored development programs or are invited to special task forces.

Our purpose is to make a difference at decisive moments for our clients. The inventiveness of our solutions often determines our ability to do this. And inventive ideas arise from diverse teams. We are therefore looking for people with different profiles and who want to contribute to the openness and inclusiveness of our culture. To increase our professionalism we also focus on giving each other continuous feedback. A high performance culture can only be sustained with talented individuals who are always ready to take the next step to grow.
