Impact Terra builds and accelerates tech ventures in South-East Asia. The management team consists of former strategy consultants, entrepreneurs and development experts (a.o. McKinsey, Rocket Internet, United Nations). Impact Terra is involved in the early stages of setting up ventures and combines deep functional knowledge with hands-on experience in frontier/emerging markets. The team is continuously looking for top talent to strengthen its team. The team is focused on technology/internet and social impact. 
Currently, Impact Terra is rolling out a cloud-based mobile app platform for farmers and agribusinesses. 
The objective of the platform is to enhance the productivity in the agriculture sector and enable linkages to the markets. The platform helps farmers build their capabilities and make data driven decisions by providing real-time market and weather data, pest alerts, targeted instructions on using fertilizers and chemicals, and guidance on growing crops. Agribusinesses get access to data to optimize their pricing, marketing, inventory planning, project management and investment decisions as well as access to the farmers. NGOs and government organizations get access to farmers for research and educational purposes. The platform will be extended over time with modules such as a pest check application, a marketplace, logistics, mobile payments, micro-financing, micro-insurance, and several customized tools for project management and education. First roll-out projects are planned to start in May with commercial parties as well as NGOs.

Business development manager for a (tech) startup in South-East Asia - venture to be decided together with candidate and pending on availability
- Significant responsibility - leading teams of up to 50 FTE
- Responsible for several departments like HR, legal, finance & accounting, product development, marketing, sales, content development and business intelligence
- Activities consist of all aspects of setting up, running and expanding a startup - from setting up a local entity, recruiting and training the local team to developing, marketing and selling the product and/or service of the    venture
- At least 6 month commitment - 12 months preferred
- First 6 months internship, hereafter full time position with significant salary increase


  • Graduated in (preferable) economics, finance or beta studie
  • Excellent grades in both Bachelor and Master (average 7.5+)
  • High-profile internship and work experience - preferable in frontier/emerging markets
  • High-profile extra-curricular activities
  • Demonstrable entrepreneurial experience - preferable setup and expanded his/her own company
  • Management experience
  •  Fluent in English
  •  Applicant that is accepted for strategy consulting, investment banking or a high-profile traineeship but prefers to become an entrepreneur in the most exciting region in the world (for at least some time)
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive and can-do mentality
  • Cultural sensitive and a natural leader (not just a manager) 
  •  Very strong in analytics and structuring
  • Hands-on and drive to get things done
  • To the point and clear in communications
