The IT Security Intern reports to the IT Technical Security Specialist, Network and Infrastructure, part of the Wavin IT department at Wavin Head Office. The IT Security Intern substantially contributes in undertaking a wide range of tasks including security assessments, security design, security reviews, security awareness, security auditing and compliance. The IT Security Intern should have some technical security knowledge and an understanding of security concepts, policies and standards. Excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities and tasks
- Assist IT-department in developing IT security strategies based on business priorities and risks;
- Assist IT-department in improving the security awareness within the Wavin organization;
- Create a vulnerability and patch Management program that keep the components that form part of information technology infrastructure (hardware, software and services) up to date with the latest patches and updates;
- Assist IT-department in selecting and designing specific security architectures and technologies like Data Loss Prevention and Security Information and Event Management System.



For this key position, the IT Security Intern should have the following qualifications:
- Second or Third Year of Master or bachelor degree with a concentration in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security or other technology discipline;
- Have a relevant work experience (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs, or first work experience) would be considered as an asset;
- Have problem solving and critical thinking skills ;
- Structured way of working and strong analytical skills;
- Be fluent in English, Dutch or German would be considered as an asset.
