Total Specific Solutions (TSS) is the holding entity of a group of 35+ business units (BU’s) active in the field of vertical market software in the Netherlands, France, Sweden and Romania. Our BU’s operate as decentralized operating entities, each focusing on a specific niche market with a tailored product offering. End-markets of our BU’s include (local) governments, financial institutions, notaries, healthcare service providers, (fashion) retailers and automotive workshops. Our businesses provide mission-critical software solutions that address the specific needs of customers in particular vertical markets. TSS, as investment holding entity, is responsible for governance oversight and execution of the acquisition strategy. Founded in 2007, a majority of TSS was acquired by Constellation Software Inc. (CSI) in 2013. CSI is a public company based in Toronto, Canada with more than $2 billion in revenues and a current market value of approximately $13 billion (TSX: CSU.TO). CSI acquires, manages, and builds vertical market software businesses located throughout the world – including Europe, North America and Australia. TSS is the primary European platform within CSI. CSI has completed over 350 acquisitions of small, medium and large private and public software companies since inception (20-30 acquisitions per year globally)


M&A has a strategic priority for TSS given the ambitions to further expand the current Dutch positions as well as drive further geographic expansion Europe. In the past three years, our team has closed over sixteen acquisitions including two international acquisitions (France & Sweden). We have a team of nine dedicated M&A professionals with a background in private equity, corporate development, corporate finance advisory, M&A legal and financial transaction support. At TSS, we are responsible for initiating dialogue with potential targets and subsequently business case analysis, valuation, contract negotiation and drafting, as well as coordination of due diligence processes. Our team works alongside BU managers and TSS leadership to help achieve our ambitious growth targets.

- 4-6 months position based in Utrecht, Netherlands
- Qualitative and quantitative review of Dutch, German, Nordic and Baltic targets
- Intern is responsible for financial analysis and performance benchmarking
- Support in data gathering, entry and assistance in due diligence processes
- Valuation of targets (IRR calculation, LBO modelling, DCF calculation)
- Business case outline drafting
- Data base extraction and validation of company information (e.g. target profiling)


- Dutch, German, Swedish, Danish or Finish native language speaker
- Dutch proficiency and English fluency required
- BSc/ MSc degree in business administration, finance, economics, management or accounting
- Thorough understanding of finance (e.g. valuation principles, financial statements, KPI’s, etc.)
- Team-player, entrepreneurial attitude, self-starting
- Understanding of both M&A and the B2B software space
 Strong analytical insight, creative aptitude and most of all: eagerness to learn
- Driven personality who knows how to take care of business - Sense of humor, or if none present, irony
