As a Corporate Finance intern, you will work in the Business Control and Corporate Finance department
of Eurofins Agro.
The Finance team handles the strategic and operational activities surrounding the acquisition of
companies and oversees the entire acquisition process, from strategy to closing.
You will spend at least 3-4 months on the first phase of this process: strategic preparation and initiation.
This includes, among other things:
• Market studies to gain a clear picture of the market (size) in various countries
• Updating previous market studies
• Market exploration: identifying potential targets in the market: agricultural laboratories and
sampling companies; creating a longlist
• Financially analyzing these targets to arrive at a shortlist
• Preparing one-pagers for the selected targets, including contact information
Subsequent steps involve approaching the selected companies and, if interest is shown, visiting them
together.
Furthermore, you will be able to follow complete acquisition processes: from signing confidentiality
agreements (NDAs), due diligence, and valuation to closing.
The profile
• University student in Finance, Business Economics, or Business Administration. Preferably a 3rd
or 4th-year student.
• This is an internship for a minimum of 3-4 months
• Entrepreneurial, committed, and results-oriented person
• Possesses a professional and business attitude;
• Affinity with entrepreneurship, finance, and the Agro / laboratory sector;
• Communicative and socially skilled;
• Excellent command of the English language and preferably also Dutch;
• Extensive knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel.
