Functie omschrijving

The internship position gives you the opportunity to gain broad experience in the world of impact investing. You will support one of the People or Planet teams. You will be partly responsible for scouting startups and analyzing potential investments. In addition, you will be responsible for a deep dive into a specific topic to help us understand an investment area.

You will learn what it takes to arrive at an investment decision and thoroughly develop market and competitive analyses and financial models. You will rotate in one of the teams and be involved in deals from the beginning (deal sourcing) to the term sheet and making the actual deal. You will get a good picture of (impact) investing at Rubio in a short time.

• You are able to perform at a high level and you care about making an impact.
• You have completed a university degree in a relevant field (e.g. Finance, Science, Engineering)
• You write and speak fluent English (and ideally Dutch too!)
• You have an affinity for technology, numbers and entrepreneurship
• You are proactive and curious
• You can analyze well and can formulate things clearly
• You have relevant work experience in the field
• Interest in Planet-related fields (e.g. environment, sustainability, energy transition, food & agriculture)

• Experience in the rapidly growing impact investing sector
• Working directly with experienced professionals and learning about investing in entrepreneurs
• A mentor who will coach and guide you during the internship period
• A super nice office location near Artis in Amsterdam & also opportunities to work from home
• An internship stipend and vacation days (800-900 euro)
• Start date: June/July 2024 (full-time, 4 to 6 months)
